Stokes Adobe was a truly memorable culinary experience. Visiting for the first time, I was impressed by both the food and the rich history of the location. Originally a home, it has since changed hands many times--legend has it that a former owner was a doctor with a dark past. But let's focus on what really matters: the food, which was absolutely worth the visit. I ordered the Cavatelli, a beautifully crafted dish featuring handmade pasta, kale pistou, Italian sausage, Calabrian chili, Meyer lemon, and breadcrumbs. The lemon added just the right amount of brightness without being overpowering, and the vibrant green pesto sauce complemented the dish perfectly. The Italian sausage brought everything together for a well-balanced bite. I also tried the Tagliatelle Bolognese, made with handmade pasta, beef, pancetta, tomato, sofrito, and parmesan. While just as delicious, it's definitely a heavier option for dinner. For appetizers, I started with the Crispy Potatoes, fried fingerling potatoes topped with brown butter, chives, and a lemon truffle crema. The combination of crispy texture and rich crema made this dish a standout. I also sampled the Duck Liver Mousse Toast, which featured caramelized onion, chives, Luxardo cherry, and sherry vinegar. While not my personal favorite, those with a more adventurous palate would likely enjoy it. Dessert was a treat in itself. I tried the Affogato Captain + Stoker, made with espresso, vanilla gelato, caramel, and amaretti cookie crumble--an absolute delight for coffee lovers. I finished with the Dulce De Leche Beignets, served with whipped mascarpone, which were the perfect sweet ending to the meal. Stokes Adobe also offers a great selection of alcoholic beverages and soft drinks. The outdoor seating area, complete with a fireplace, makes for a cozy dining experience on colder nights. The servers were attentive and truly enhanced the experience. Street parking is available, making it convenient to visit. I'll definitely be returning to explore more of their menu!

Our experience at Stokes Abode was top tier! Our server, Stefan, went above and beyond for my parents anniversary and was mindful of the fact that we had a show to get to in a short amount of time. When we arrived, he treated us to champagne on the house to celebrate. The ambiance was lovely both upstairs and downstairs. I HIGHLY recommend all of the dishes we had. - Mushroom Bisque: probably the best soup ever. The herb oil that topped the soup adds a special touch to the creaminess. - Broccoli Cheddar Salad: perfectly shaved and a great portion to share. - Tagliatelle Bolognese: their most recommended dish & I can see why. the noodles are cooked perfectly and it's a great balanced rich dish. - Snake River Farms American Wagyu: cooked perfectly and very tender. the seasoning and sauce that paired is to die for. - Bone In Pork Chop: I didn't try this but the rest of our table loved it!

Had a lovely time here at Stokes Adobe on Valentine's weekend! We had made reservations prior which made our dinner seamless! There is a bar in front, and the ambiance is lovely! We ordered the Tagliatelle Bolognese and the Cavatelli (which has a huge spicy kick just fyi!) Service was super sweet, and our food was delicious! I'd love to come visit here again.

This place is so cute and well decorated. 10/10 vibes. Also, great cocktails. The food is beautiful. My favorite was the soup. We ordered the steak for two for our meal and it was flavorful but a little tough. The desert was nothing to write home about but enjoyable. I would recommend for a more upscale date night or special occasion since it is on the pricier side.

4.7 out of 5 stars Stokes adobe is a win for Monterey and the state of California. It's a perfect restaurant, set in the perfect building serving amazing food. All restaurants start with the building in which they reside and Stokes Adobe found the most amazing building to plant roots in. Just walking up to the building you already know that you're going to have an amazing dinner. The food was perfect, yellowfin was the start to an amazing meal and it was capped off with the tagliatelle. Cooked to perfection....a true joy to eat!!! Service.... It's great, just not perfect. A few minor flaws kept it from getting the perfect 5 out of 5. The food is there, the ambiance is there ... the service just needs a very small adjustment and this restaurant is getting its Michelin star. Please go and enjoy, I highly recommend Stokes Adobe, and I would definitely go back.

Our group of six dined at Stokes Adobe over the AT&T Pro-Am weekend. They have a lovely outdoor area and it felt like a big house inside. High ceilings and a cool bar. It was bustling on a Saturday night. Service was great. Here is what we ordered: *Duck liver mousse: SUPER tasty * Cacio e Pepe pizza: Light and pairs well with wine * Marguerita pizza: Delicious with thin and chewy crust * Bistecca: Great cut of meat. The temperature was initially incorrect but they fixed it perfectly afterwards * Seared scallops: tasty * Halibut crudo: ok to skip This is a super fun restaurant and we all agreed we would definitely come back for great food and ambience.

Perfect spot for happy hour! Had a blast with my date ordering cocktails, appetizers, and mains -- all were great for sharing and all the staff were really friendly too. Even the complimentary chips were delicious! Duck liver mousse and pasta hit the spot; the four cheese pizza was a bit too funky for me but I really enjoyed the crust. I think the pizza could've also benefitted from a fresh element, especially since one of the cheeses was so strong (either fresh basil, or even a drizzle of basil or chili olive oil). Ambiance is lovely and perfect for a date night, plus there's free street parking.

A surprising experience This place really surprised us. We tried the cavatelli and the seared Norwegian halibut. Both came in a savory herb sauce. The pasta was fresh and infused with crispy sausage and hot sauce. The halibut was perfectly cooked and very tender. The ambiance here is classy yet relaxed, service was quite excellent as well

Service is (and for the two times I've been here) impeccable. Friendly, genuine and really accommodating. 6 stars out of five, and that's so unlike me to go over the top, but well deserved! Shane put up with my questions and expectations, and Maddie was so nice making a guest feel special. Ambiance and service brings me back each time. Set in a house with 6 rooms each that have a unique character...that's the top. Now for food and bevvies. Dinner is the highlight for me hands down that would have me here daily or at least every month I head to NorCal and drive down for the weekend to chill. Happy Hour is a mixed bag. That's this time. The M&M cocktail Mescal based with Amaro and bitters was nice but the Old Fashioned took it. The Pineapple Fresca (tequila, pineapple, lime) missed the mark for me with a unique taste but more tart than fresh (too bad since it looked good). Perhaps paired with something that could hold up a candle like a key lime pie or salad vinaigrette but I digress. Pizza is a focus of the HH menu. Shiitake Mushroom pizza needed some EVOO to highlight the nice chew in the dough and shiitakes. But it was the pesto that muted the flavors, that's for me. Surely many would love pesto but I'm looking for fresh and take flavor profile one notch up. Soft pillowy with a char oven taste. Good. The Duck Mousse Toast was good but again a bit muted. I wanted more cilantro (sorry haters!) and briny gherkins to provide some acidity to smooth not strong at all liver mousse. Toast were nice but this is coming from someone who loves foie gras. So for those uninitiated, this is strong middle road entry into Duck liver. Would love to see some more acidity elevate the flavors, but who am I to say. I'll be back next time as I eat around the menu...but for dinner or at least ordering off that menu. Enjoy!
